A Randomized Phase II Study to Determine the Effect of 2 Different Doses of AVE0005 (VEGF Trap) in Patients with Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma

Synopsis:
This is a randomized trial for people 18 years of age or greater with metastatic or unresectable renal cell carcinoma.

The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of two different doses of an investigational compound in treating patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma who have had at least one treatment with a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. The subjects will return for monthly clinic visits during the intervention period.
